Oggi, nessuno sa in cosa consista il tesoro del faraone né dove si trovi esattamente, ma deve essere molto prezioso se su Internet se ne parla in modo così insistente, se il governo degli Stati Uniti finanzia uno straordinario progetto di ricerca e se la NSA segue da vicino le operazioni sul campo. Che ci sia qualcosa di anomalo lo testimonia un clamoroso attentato a Gerusalemme che terrorizza gli Israeliani e che nessuna organizzazione rivendica. Gli agenti dei servizi impegnati nelle operazioni di intelligence rimangono vittime di efferati delitti e la caccia al tesoro di Cheope non basta più a spiegare gli eventi. Il Cairo è al centro della crisi e qualcosa sta per accadere.
